Our rabbits are raised outdoors on pasture, where they forage grasses and plant material and live in fresh air and natural light. We raise American Chinchilla rabbits, a historic heritage breed valued for its hardiness, calm temperament, and excellent meat quality. Once common on small farms, the breed is now considered rare, and we are committed to preserving it through careful, intentional breeding.
Their diet centers on pasture grasses and dried forages grown and harvested on the farm, supplemented seasonally with appropriate garden greens. A small daily pellet ration is provided as needed to support mineral balance, ensuring the animals remain healthy while allowing pasture and forage to remain the foundation of their diet.
This slow, thoughtful approach produces rabbit that is mild, tender, and clean-tasting, reflecting both the breed’s natural qualities and the care taken in how it is raised.
